How Podwave works

Play with the fee calculator, then read how launches, rewards and burns work.

Fee calculator
Set your own fee▾
Every creator picks their own trading fee, from 0% up to 3%, and splits it across creator, holders and burn however they want. 20% of whatever you set always goes to the platform. The other 80% is entirely yours to divide. The fee and the split are fixed at launch.
How a launch works▾
The full supply seeds as single-sided liquidity the instant a token launches. Nothing is held back for the creator.
How fees are charged▾
Your token's fee is charged on the quote side of every trade: on the amount you pay when buying, and on the amount you receive when selling. On top of that, the pool has a separate 0.30% Uniswap pool fee. Only exact-input swaps (what the Podwave app uses) are supported.
What you pay to launch▾
A flat 0.0005 ETH platform fee per launch, plus network gas. If you add a first buy, that amount is paid on top. Every token starts at a market cap of about $3,000.
Which pairs can I launch against?▾
Podwave is built around POD. You can launch against POD or against ETH. More pairs can be opened later by the platform and will show up in the pair step of the launch wizard.
Paying for the first buy▾
For a POD pair you can pay the first buy in ETH (swapped into POD on the way in) or in POD directly after one approval. For an ETH pair the first buy is paid in ETH. Holders can also buy a POD-paired token with ETH in one transaction from the token page.
Claiming holder and creator rewards▾
Rewards are paid in the token's quote asset (POD for POD pairs). Fees from buys are collected first and distributed when anyone triggers it. Claiming on the token page does that automatically as one extra transaction. Holder rewards are shared by circulating supply; the pool and the burn address never earn rewards.
Burn isn't a button▾
If a creator allocates any share to Burn, that share accrues per token. The platform periodically uses it to buy that token from its own pool and send the tokens to the burn address (0x…dEaD). It runs on a schedule of the platform's own, not on every trade and not by a button anyone can press, so a token's burned figure grows in steps.
Can I change my fee after launch?▾
No. The fee rate and split are permanent once a token is launched. This is by design, so holders can trust the terms will not change under them.
What does the platform fee pay for?▾
The fixed 20% platform share funds infrastructure, indexing, and ongoing development of Podwave itself.
Is this financial advice?▾
No. Anyone can launch a token here, and most tokens are extremely risky. Read the fee split on each token page before you trade, and never put in more than you can afford to lose.
